TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1

ARRIVAL IN NYERERE NATIONAL PARK

Arrive in Nyerere National Park after flying in from Zanzibar. Begin your safari adventure with a game drive in this vast and remote park, known for its abundant wildlife, including elephants, hippos, and a variety of bird species. Spend the night at a lodge or camp within the park.

DAY 2

NYERERE NATIONAL PARK

Dedicate a full day to further exploring the beauty of Nyerere National Park. Enjoy game drives along the Rufiji River and its tributaries, keeping an eye out for crocodiles, hippos, and numerous bird species. Relax in the evening at your lodge or camp

DAY 3 - 4

MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

Depart for Mikumi National Park, known as the “mini-Serengeti” for its resemblance to its more famous counterpart. Spend two days exploring Mikumi’s open grasslands and searching for its abundant wildlife, including lions, zebras, and giraffes. Overnight stays will be at a lodge or camp in or near Mikumi.

DAY 5:

ZANZIBAR

Bid farewell to the southern parks and return to Zanzibar, a tropical paradise known for its pristine beaches and rich culture. Check into your beachfront accommodation, where you’ll spend the next three days enjoying the sun, sea, and leisure activities.

DAY 6 - 7

ZANZIBAR

Relax and unwind on Zanzibar’s beautiful beaches. You can choose to explore Stone Town, indulge in water sports, or simply soak up the sun. Zanzibar offers a variety of experiences, from historical tours to snorkeling and spice farm visits.

DAY 8

DEPARTURE

Enjoy your last moments in Zanzibar with a leisurely breakfast and perhaps some last-minute shopping or beachcombing. Later, transfer to Zanzibar’s airport for your departure, concluding your 8-day journey through Tanzania’s Southern Circuit and ending with a beachfront paradise on Zanzibar Island.

  We had an amazing time at Selous national park, and the main reason for that was because Deo was out guide.

He has an increadible amount of knowledge on all the animals and answered all out questions.

He also took his time to show us the animals at the national park without disrupting them.

  We did a one-day Selous Game tour with Deo which was absolutely amazing. From the first moment when we met him we were already very comfortable. Deo combines his huge knowledge about the wildlife with a lot of patience, kindness and sense of humour. He did everything so that we see as lot animals as possible - but he always took care that we do not disturb or affect the life of the animals
badly. Of course, he also took care about our welfare. We had a coffee and a lunch break and as much toilet breaks as necessary as soft drinks were also offered :-) Deo is doing his job with a lot of passion and always tries to do everything for creating an extraordinary experience.
